This unique, hand-crafted graffiti artwork was created as part of a personal commission for a client in the United States. The chosen color palette — purple, green, and gold — was deliberately selected by the client and directly references Mardi Gras, a cultural tradition deeply rooted in the southern United States and strongly present in parts of Florida. Mardi Gras represents expression, identity, celebration, and community — values that are visually translated throughout this piece.
The dynamic letterforms flow and collide in powerful, almost musical rhythms. They are surrounded by explosive cloud formations and sharp accents that give the composition energy and tension. Rising from the center are crystal-like structures, symbolizing value, clarity, and ambition. Together, these elements form a composition that is not only visually striking but also culturally charged — a bridge between artist and client, between Europe and the United States.
Every detail was developed with care and intention. This is not a reproducible design, but a one-of-a-kind original sketch, created through time, craftsmanship, and trust. A work meant to be experienced physically — the paper, the texture, the subtle nuances — and intended to become part of the client’s personal environment.
Loss and Disappointment
For that reason, the loss of this artwork is especially painful. Both I, as the creator, and the client were genuinely looking forward to its arrival. For me, it represented the completion of an intensive creative process; for the client, the ownership of a personal and culturally meaningful piece.
That the package was lost during transit through USPS abruptly ended those expectations. While logistics are complex and mistakes can happen, the disappearance of an irreplaceable original artwork cannot be undone. There is no second version, no reprint, no substitute — only the realization that something created with care and shipped in good faith has simply vanished.
Closing
This piece now stands not only as a symbol of creativity, color, and cultural connection, but also as a reminder of the vulnerability of original art. It highlights the importance of care when handling unique objects that are more than just parcels — they carry meaning, emotion, and identity.
With respect for all parties involved, yet with clear disappointment toward the shipping process, this artwork remains a testament to what art can be — and what is lost when it never reaches its destination.
Mardi Gras was created on A3-sized 180 gsm paper (29.7 × 42 cm / 11.7 × 16.5 inches). The piece showcases Theron’s signature ability to merge complex letter structures with carefully crafted surroundings—resulting in a visual world where raw industry and expressive graffiti amplify one another.

Zack B –
First and foremost, thank you Theron for being an incredible writer to work with! I reached out to this talented gentleman and commissioned this piece, giving him (for the most part) freedom to do what HE WOULD enjoy putting down on paper. The only mandatory ask was having the piece be the writer’s name, “Theron”, and I had suggested Mardi Gras colors.
Theron definitely produced an amazing piece in a very timely manner, and it had made it all the way through customs and seemed to just dissappear shortly after. We were patient (him and I) and Theron eventually started a case with USPS. After a couple of weeks, there failed to be any luck, and there wasn’t really a resolution with USPS. I hate thinking about the random person who has the original piece sitting pretty in their home, or it being lost and discarded. Anyhow, Theron insisted that I could choose a piece from his collection, and I was hesitant at first, but ended up picking an amazing piece (as they all are). Theron once again sent the package along with tracking, and this second one thankfully made it. What a wonderful, intricate, amazing piece of graffiti from one of my favorite writers. The package also included some sticker packs I had ordered, along with some extra stickers (which I dig), a certificate of authenticity, and it was all packaged wonderfully…very solid!
In closing, The whole experience from beginning to end has been exceptional with Theron, who provided top tier service and communication as well as delivering an AMAZING piece! Do not hesitate to reach out and acquire a piece of greatness and graff history from this heavy hitter!
