Graffiti Database is an inspiring website that brings the colorful and vibrant world of graffiti to life. It is admirable how this site is constantly kept up-to-date with the latest graffiti photos from all over the world, which makes an important contribution to preserving this creative subculture.

When I spontaneously come across colors somewhere, it makes me happy, but I prefer to see the art being created. I’m inspired by the process, and since I also enjoy photographing people, it’s double the fun.

What started in 2017 as a passion project has grown into a worldwide collective with around 15 core members and over 100 other contributors. Together, they’ve put 230,000 street art photos online and created 50 interactive city maps.

I find graffiti incredibly rewarding because it’s a fleeting form of art – you never know where you’ll come across it, and it can disappear just as quickly as it appeared. That’s why I love photographing it: you can look back at it beneath all those layers of paint.
